ANNNNND We're back!

Yikes!

Apologies for the delay in posting...summer holidays, and a lot of being 'off track' or 'off plan' have finally led me back to my blog. I think I am going to start up a new blog - my hubby has finally decided to join me on my journey to a healthier lifestyle - so I want to change it up a bit and focus on both of us...watch for the new blog to be up soon!

Week of July 26 Weigh-in!

Well, I weighed in today (1 day earlier than normal) and I was down 2.2lbs! That brings my total lost to 11.4! Yay me!

I've been loosely following WW since March, but have only really kicked it into high gear and started taking it seriously for the past 2 weeks. I am quite pleased with myself. Now, I just have to keep it up!

This long weekend is going to be a pretty busy one, filled with lots of challenges (we're going to our fair/exhibition on Sunday), so there will be lots of food temptations there. My plan is to choose one treat to have and use my weekly points allowance on that - so rather than have one of everything, (cotton candy, candy apple, mini donuts, etc.), I will pick one and stick with it! It should be a fun day - lots of walking too, so that's good! :)

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Wednesday

Happy Hump Day!

Just completed another 5k walk on the treadmill - working toward my operation fat buster goal! Tonight I managed to do the 5k in 61:39 - quite an improvement over Sunday's time....I need to work on pacing myself a little better though...I think I'm going to try the walk/jog intervals to mix things up a little bit - I really want to learn to jog the entire distance and know how to pace myself. Baby steps!

I'm sure looking forward to the long weekend coming up... I need a little break from the office boredom - summers are sure slow! Because it's a long weekend I think I'm going to weigh in on Friday at lunch hour rather than Saturday morning - so hopefully that won't affect my weight loss too much!

I've been doing really well lately at getting all of my fruit and veggie servings in each day. I'm almost having a hard time eating all of my ww points without turning to junk at the end of the day... I really need to work on incorporating the healthy oils into my daily routine/foods - that will add a couple more points, but if anyone has any other recommendations on how to eat all of my points without turning to junk, I'd love to hear them! I find with sweets and 'junk' food, once I start eating them it's really hard for me to stop, but if I never have it in the first place, I definitely don't crave it.

DH tempted me this week with a nice big container of Costco cookies....I've been very good so far and haven't had ANY of them...I'm very proud of myself! I think I deserve a gold star at my meeting this week for that one! :)

Well, off to package my lunch up for tomorrow and get ready for bed, nite all!

Operation: Fat Blaster

As you have probably noticed in the blogroll on the side of my blog, I've joined Operation Fat Blaster - you should join too! My goal is to be able to run most of the 5K Canadian Breast Cancer 'Run for the cure' in October. I just completed a 5k walk tonight on the treadmill. It took me 65:14 for the 5k - averaging a little longer than a 20 minute mile. My goal is to shorten the time it takes to do the 5k - I'm going to actually strive to run the entire thing, which should be doable if I push myself and train for it, however, I do have a lot of work to do!

I'm going to post a weekly Operation Fat Buster challenge update and fill you in on my progress - wish me luck! :) Looking forward to it!

What a Weekend!!!

I must apologize for my absence the past few days...it turned out to be a busy week at the end of last week! I've got so many things to blog about!

I made an amazing 3D Spiderman birthday cake for my friend's son's 5th birthday party - it turned out great, but I spent 3 days making it!!!

I also applied for a new job - so fingers crossed that I will get an interview!

My weigh in on Saturday was pretty good - down just .6, but it is a loss nonetheless. My total lost is 9.2 so far. Long ways to go, but as long as the downward trend continues, I'm happy!

I just finished up an hour on the treadmill - my first 'real' exercise since last Wednesday. This week my goal is to try to workout each day, instead of the first few days of the week and then slack for the rest of the week...

Well, off to get ready for work tomorrow - Monday already!! At least next weekend is a long weekend!

Nite all!

Just an OK day today...

I've had one of 'those' days today, just not feeling up to much of anything...my hubby had to work late and by the time he got home and we had dinner, I really didn't feel like doing a big workout. We did end up taking it a little easier tonight - just took the dogs for about a 1/2 hour walk, rather than an hour-long treadmill session tonight, but I'll be back at it tomorrow! It is supposed to be a beautiful day here tomorrow so I may even get up early to take the dogs out before work!

I'd appreciate any tips on dragging my butt out of bed in the morning - I just love to stay in bed snoozing, but at the same time I really like getting my workout in first thing in the morning so it is out of the way!! When do you workout? This is something I'm still struggling with - and I amd working on getting it scheduled into my regular daily routine - just need to find the perfect fit!

Tomorrow is Wednesday....I'm going to convince hubby to help me move the treadmill from the back bedroom to the tv room so I will have no excuses not to be on it while watching tv. Need to get a new wheel for my elliptical too!

Have a great evening!
